I need advice as to what to do about a relatives property that has been in probate for over three years. All the heirs are known. The family was not notified of the appointment of an Executrix,nor when the court was petitioned for the land to be planted. I feel as others, there is a conflict of interest, as the Executrix is the daughter-in-law of the planter of the farm land involved. Many family members have approached the lawyer, yet he keeps dragging feet. The Executrix refuses to answer any questions.
The home place is not being taken care of, and the family requested that a failiy estate sale be allowed in regards to memorabilia in the home. He ageed to do a CD of family pictures but has never produced it. Can we get representation on our own to keep the farm intact under an LLC. I live in North Carolina.
