Thank you for taking the time to read this...was charged with wreckless endangerment...i passed someone illegally in a no passing zone...he chased me down and cut me off...we both exited our vehicles and he began to strike me with a billy club in the head. I wrestled it from him and struck him back...was found guilty because in pa you cannot exit your vehicle....
a few nights ago I bumped into a car. NO damage was done to either car. The car kept going and I pulled into a store and got the items I needed. When I came out I didn't see anyone around so I left. They called the cops and the cops were waiting at the house when I got home. I picked up a six pack of beer for my fiance, although my offense wasnt alcohol related I am still not allowed to drink. So when the cops asked me for my info I took off. I ran as fast and as far as I could.
Probation has contacted me and said that if I get caught or turn myself in then I will face a few months in jail and probably more. This is not an option for me. What options do I have? If I were to move out of state would they look for me?

You are compounding your problems.
Things are going to get out of contriol, very soon!

Yes, you are proabably in NCIC (national crime computer) as a probation violator.
If you run far, very far, PA might not come and get you.
It also depends on what the charge was on which you were convicted or plead.

You need an attorney to advise you in PA.
Why not call a couple and ask them?
Or, some allow you to post on the internet sites.

Either way, they are looking for you around your county, city, and nearby already.
If you went to Illinois, maybe not far enough.
If you went to Montana, maybe that is far enough.
But, if you were convicted of a serious charge(s) - rape, murder, manslaughter, burglary, drug dealing, etc...; there might be no place too far the law NOT to seke you.

You got troubles, and they are gonna get bigger.
Speak with a lawyer.

I'll give you one more shot, what did you plead to or get convicted of doing?

Just curious... did the other driver who initially struck you with the club get charged with a crime? It sounds like he certainly should have!

Thank you for answering my questions. I was convicted of wreckless endangerment. After I was found guilty the DA added whats called a "deadly weapons enhancement"
so the punishment became even more severe. Throughout the entire case my public defenders never imagined that I would get charged. The case is going through appeal through the supreme court as a week ago. Not sure what this changes. The guy who tried to kill me, pleaded from a felony simple assault down to a misdemeanor two and got 6 months probation and $200 restitution. I received 3 months house arrest. 3 months intensive probation and a total of two years probation.
I know I made a bad decision to run, I am petrified, absolutely terrified of the police. I am veteran and love my country, this entire thing has me at a loss. Complete confusion and despair is what I feel now. Thank you again for your help.

He was charged with Felony simple assault...pleaded down to a Misdeameanor 2. Got 6 months probation and 200 in restitution.

As I see it, you should have had the same charges and same results.

You did compound your problems, but the initial case seems fishy. Good luck with the appeal.

Yea the runnig just added another charge to you. Your best bet is to contact a local attorney retain him/her and let your attorney work something out for you to turn yourself in. You never know oyur attorney could get you little or no jail time at all. Running is not the answer as one day you will get caught. Good luck and hope everything works out for you.
