Problem with DMV over DL Reinstatment

I got 2 letters from the DMV back in November of 07. There were 2 letters for 2 different tickets i got in 2007. My license has been suspended since 06 for DUI and driving on a suspended license. So I went into the DMV last week with both of my letters that said that my suspension was up, but when i got there they start pulling other papers out that they said were sent out to me and told me that i would have to wait another year even though i havent had a ticket since august of 07. Can they do this? When I asked to speak to somebody else they said that i couldnt?

I have no idea what the answer is. You haven't told us the reasons why your license is still suspended. We don't know what the paperwork says. If the law says your license can be suspended for another year than that is what it is. Why not find out what the law is with regard to your specific issue and when your suspension expires?
