I am asking in regards to my fathers estate. My father did not leave a will and did not have life insurance,so we had to choose who would be over top his property to access his bank account to be able to get money out of it to pay for his burial, seeing we did not have enough money to do so ourselves.Since my mother was divorced from my father,it had to be me or my brother, thinking I was making the right decision I let my brother be over top of it.He used money to bury my father and pay for the funeral, but my father also had a safety deposit box
which he had to sign to remove all the funds from.A witness who was with him, whom he accidentally left the receipt in there car has made me aware he removed over 10,000.00 leaving the account empty. Also he sold the truck from the property my father owns.I amaware everything is suppose to be 50/50 and nothing is to be touched until after pro bono.I do not know what steps to take, because this is how my father would not have wanted this done.I am in need of legal advice to what steps to take and also it is still in pro bono.

Thank you

Pro bono?
I think you mean probate.
Hire a lawyer, or forget about it.
By now I'm sure he's used the ten grand or hidden it.
You'll never know what was in the safety deposit box.
Your brother ripped you off, but at least he buried dad.
