What is the proper way of getting product images for an small eCommerce website?
1) Can people take the picture of the products with their own digital camera and then use those photos on the eCommerce website?
2) What if the product contains a brand logo (say for example, an eCommerce site that sell iPod or Macs and the Apple logo is showing)?
3) And what if I use that image in the masthead of the website so that it is shown on every page?
Is use of photos in this manner considered "fair use" or is that trademark/copyright infringment? I am referring to United States law.
