Promoted, Still have no wage increase?

My boyfriend was promoted back in June to Asst Manager, this was a .75 raise, as of today they still have not given him this raise? He has talked to corporate and the woman there has told him they will not back date it, which I feel is wrong, However they have not even givin it to him.

I was just wondering if they have to back date it or not, and how long they can hold out on giving him his $$ while he perfroms the new job?

They have no legal obligation to back date it. In fact, they have no legal obligation to give him an increase at all.

There are only two instances where an employer is legally obligated to provide a raise. One is when a bona fide, legally binding and enforceable contract or CBA says so; the other is when minimum wage is increased by the appropriate legislative body and you are working below the new minimum.
