There are two pieces of land that I am an heir to. My uncle has his siblings owned the land but there is only one sibling left, my aunt, and she petitioned the court to be the personal representative of the estate and she wants to sell it. I received the notice from the court and called her lawyer to report myself as an heir to the estate. My question is do I need a lawyer or should I just wait for her to sell the land and divide it and do nothing?

Tell me if I have the basics correct:

Your Uncle and his siblings owned land, and he passed away, correct?
In fact, the only one alive today is his sister, your aunt.
You refer to him as your uncle, so are you the offspring of one of his siblings?

I don't understand why you believe you are an heir to the land.
If one of your parents was a sibling of your uncle, is that parent dead or alive?

my uncle died wuthout a will and he has no children, my aunt has been payingthe taxes in the kand for over 20 years and now wants to sell it,i am her neice her brither is my father, and he is deceased. my mom ad dad have passed away , si my aunts attorney sent me a letter saying she is the personal rep of the estate abd wants to sell the land

You need a lawyer. She may NOT need your permission, and you may not be an heir. She may already own the land by the citrine if adverse possession.

If you care, see a lawyer. If you don't care, sign the document.
