My 22 year old son returned to IU homecoming this weekend and was arrested for Public Intoxication. He spent approximatedly 12 hours in jail and then posted $250 for release. He is scheduled to appear in court tomorrow, Monday, at 1:30 p.m. Any assistance with options would be appreciated. He lives in Pittsburgh, PA, as he graduated from IU in May, 2008, and has started a new job. He was also ticketed for underage drinking once in 2005-2006 time frame. Can an attorney represent him tomorrow or does he need to return from Pittsburgh for the hearing? Any and all advice is truly appreciated since we have not had to deal with this before.
