I have filed a patent with the USPO, and the USPO has published the pending application... so it is now public knowledge.
However, my patent attorney is strongly suggesting that we wait for the USPO to "issue a judgement on our claims".... BEFORE we re-engage with the major corporations for the licensing of our patent!
(I.E.... he suggests waiting another 18 months for the ruling on the claims BEFORE even showing the published patent to the potential licensee)!
IS this correct? If the patent is already published by the patent office... what is the advantage to waiting the additional 18-25 months to get the ruling on the claims from the patent office?
