I was married from November 1973 to the finalization on Sept. 22, 1999. My X husband filed for SSD during the separation period and was awarded the benefits. It is also my understanding that he received his full benefits in one lump payments for his pension. I never filed the QDRO. He is now receiving his regular SS benefits, or was after the final decree. Am I still entitled to have a QDRO evaluated to receive my percentage of the pension? And if he did receive the benefits in the full amount, what would the legal process be to obtain my marital share. I was a stay at home mom and had minimal employment towards SS during the marriage.
