Alcohol & Drugs: MIP, MIC, Intoxication question about marijuana possession PLEASE READ AND REPLY!!!

today before school i was in a car with some kids smoking marijuana, we arrived at school and half way in first block my principle came in and asked me to come to his office.. he said i smelled like marijuana. he then searched me and my bookbag. i wasnt caught with anything on me, but he put me up for an explusion hearing.. what will happen to me?

was you smoking? If so than nothing much you can do about it.

Not legal advise....They will probably expell you to an alternate school. You can appeal the decision if your parents want to. If you weren't smoking pot and don't smoke offer to take a drug test. Your school may have a first chance type program for first time offenders and may be viable since no drugs were found on you and only the smell is evidence. Have your parents ask about a first chance program. BUT get all the details about what's involved before you agree to anything.

to be honest with you...i hate to say it, but whether you get kicked out or not probably will have a lot to do with your social status and how well of a show you put on for your school board. I was kicked out in the 10th grade for almost the same thing, so my best advice is to be very remorseful and keep reminding the school board the only crime you are guilty of is association, and that you weren't bringing anything with you to school. Good luck with that.
