Question about my judgement

I took a business to small claims court for breech of contract. I was quoted $4300 for the job and was charged $6700 without being notified. I won the case the judge said we had a legal contract for $4300 and he was guilty of misrepresentation by silence and he owes me $3000 in damages but how much am I supposed to pay him? The $4300 contract amount or the total bill of $6700?

It would appear, you're owed $3,000 and you now owe nothing.

However, now comes the harder task, collecting your judgment.

Why is it harder?

Most people never see a dime of what some scammer owes them.

Good luck collecting that $3,000, mate.

I did not pay anything. The judgement paper says he owes me 3015$ since the max in small claims for my area is $3000 and the filing fee of $15. I tried to go there to get my vehicle back and pay him but his secretary said he's out of town and he's not going to take $1285 for the job ($4300-$3015) and that he'll only accept $3700 ($6700 total unapproved bill minus judgement of $3000) but the letter from the judge said our legal contract was for $4300. I don't know what to do now.

It's time for you to take ALL of your paperwork to a lawyer.
Have the lawyer review the documents and ask him/her how you can get your car.

Also ask the lawyer what he or she will charge to get the car for you.

Ask if the initial visit is free.

There's not much more we can do.

You can't force the guy, but the law has remedies that can force him to return the car.

That's why you need a lawyer.

Most deadbeats laugh at small claims judgments.
Why?
Look at your dilemma.
The scammer lost, you prevailed, yet he retains your car.
