I recently made a thread about how i got caught shoplifting in a department store. I'm banned for one year, i think it includes all their stores & not just that one location. Does this also apply to all the other stores (with different names) that their company owns?
Also, will i be in some sort of record for shoplifters in a bunch of other stores as well?

Your questions has no reall yes or no answers. In general when you are banned from a retailer that ban covers all their stores and properties. This would likely include stores with different names but owned by same company. Best way to know for sure is either read your ban paperwork or contact the store. Now some retailers input names of shoplifters into a "Retail Theft Database". This database is only used by subscribers. In other words if you stole from store A and they are a subscriber they likely put your name in database. However if store B is not a subscriber they cannot view that info or input data. Who is and is not a subscriber is not publically known in most cases

Depends on the sotre.
A big chain store will send your pic/info to all thier stores.

So to be safe, avoid all of that chain.

The chances of you being caught trespassing are slim, but consider this - say you are shopping at the store in another part of town and witness a crime. The police get your information and run you as a witness. It then comes up that you are trespassing, you wil be arrested. Stay away from that store, there are many other places to shop.

I know that many stores exchange email notifications that contain picutres so just because you left city does not mean your face isnt known. I also know of cases where the LP form Store A was at Store B and saw a banned subject and notified Store B's LP. No matter how you look at it, it is a risk!
