Company that is active nationwide posts "help wanted" ads online; Craigslist, facebook, other social networks, bulletin board posts in colleges, etc. The solicitation is that you are being hired as an employee to sell advertising -- national new customer trial discounts from a wide variety of well known brand name companies. It appears the discount offers are legitimate, however, the only sales are to new employees being recruited to sell to the next sucker/er new hire. They say you can just advertise selling the discount offers, but there is a very strong push to ignore that option.

They provide lots of "scripts" to lead new employees through the program. It includes a requirement to become a test customer on the premise that you have to go through the process to be able to sell it. Even though there are hundreds of offers, each new hire is only required to make one test purchase, even though it is very hard to find anything I might even want. From everything I have seen to date, the only customers are the new employees being brought in. I have found no information to help learn how to just sell the discount offers. It does not appear that is their interest. The entire program is geared to buy the trial program but terminate it just before the trial period expires so you can collect a commission. There is a lot of training to help members learn how to go long enough to collect your commission before you cancel the order. I would think the advertisers would be furious for all this wasted advertising money.

Further, it appears there are no employees involved at all. It appears all are "independent contractors"

Is it safe to even pursue this kind of operation as a potential future Independent Contractor, or are there violations here that could shut this place down in a heartbeat?

If you want to see what I am talking about, here is the "training" site m)

No links, or the post will get deleted.

Only a babbling lunatic would trust anything on Craig's List, especially if it promises you something, offers a job, requires you to pay, or wants to have sex with you.

Ignore anything on Craig's List.

I wouldn't pursue this - they "generally" do not work out.
