Quit Claim question for timeshare week

My sister and I purchased a timeshare week in North Carolina some years ago. I live in North Carolina, she lives in Florida. I have assumed all expenses for the timeshare week several years ago as she no longer wanted to use it or pay any expenses. We have agreed that, for a minimal amount of money, we should have her name removed from the deed as I am assuming all costs and want to avoid any problems for our heirs if one of us dies.
My questions are:
1) Can I have her sign a quit claim to the NC Special warranty deed on file in NC for the timeshare week?
2) Can I just go to the county courthouse in the county where the property is and file the quit claim or is the requirement more complex than that?
3) Is there a better way to remove her name from the timeshare special warranty deed?
Thanks in advance.

Why not leave it be?

What harm arises by leaving her name on the deed?

Thanks for the answer ... Why???
I am concerned that if she dies before I do that her heirs might put a claim on for her half ownership and I have invested additional monies (she did not but again the deed is in both of our names) in upgrades to the timeshare contract and would not want that exposed to a court battle or hassle. Plus if I were to sell it I would need her involved or her heirs. If I die first you are correct that it will not matter to me..
Thanks again..
