We bought a house 3 years ago. 2 weeks ago, the Department of Tranportation stopped by my home to tell me we can not park in our drive way. There is a R.O.W easement. So we went to the county clerks office and became aware that there is a R.O.W easement. The problem is that the R.O.W easement lines are going though my home. The arial view can be seen online though my county.And clearly the easemest is going thru my house.in 1953 the easement was issued. What would be my options? Do I have a claim with my title insurance company? Is the state and seller at fault? Will I be at a loss with this home? What should be my first step at resolving this issue?
