Our house went into foreclosure Oct 25th. The house is primarily on our lot but a portion of the house is on my 16 year old son`s lot. The house is brick and has an inground pool. The entire pool is on his lot. My son`s lot is entirely in his name. We tried to sell the house in March since we found out we had and ARM so we wouldn`t risk a foreclosure. The attorney at the closing stopped the sell and said we couldn`t sell because of my son owns a portion of the house. How can we protect his lot? The house can`t be moved off from his lot and the swimming pool is entirely on his lot. What can we do?
