My jurisdiction is: MO

On 3/19, I special ordered a table from a local furniture store. I signed the section of the order form that said: special orders are not subject to cancellation or refunds. We cannot guarantee when special orders will arive.

In week 8, we were told the table was going to be delivered in a week or two. At the end of week 10, we've been told that the manufacturer is changing suppliers and is trying to work with new suppliers in making this table. The manufacturer will try to send a sample of the new table to the local store in 2-3 weeks.

My questions are:
- Is there a resonable amount of time to wait for delivery of an item, after which I can cancel the contract?
- Can I cancel the order if the table has not yet been built by the manufacturer and we're not sure when it will be built?

What is a "sample of a table"?

So you'll be up to 12-13 weeks. IMHO, that is not an unreasonable period of time. "8-12 weeks" is not uncommon to wait for dleivery. If the manufacturer doesn't come through in the 2-3 weeks stated, I'd tell the store they have 2 more weeks, after which I would consider the contract terminated and demand my money back.
