I have received a call from an attorney about a credit card I had back in 2005 demanding that I pay a certain amount. This was back in Texas and I am now living in another state. I do not have the funds to pay off this amount. What should I do and can they take me to court for it?

Ignore the call and the demand for money. Only a court can award a judgement to the owner of your old account. They can take you to court, depends on how much it was as to if they will. Good luck.

The SOL has tolled on this old debt.

Ignore the caller.

The debt can't be collected, even if they have a judgment.

They don't have one, they are trying to trick you into doing something that would start the SOL again!!!!
