I have a white 91 Mazda RX-7. The car is stock except for a modification to the exhaust that was done before I owned the car. The car was purchased last June and everything worked in it. Unfortunately my other car blew its transmission in December last year leaving me without a car. I therefore had to run my RX-7 in the winter.
Fast forward to April or so (I forget the exact date).
KK. So my car has developed an exhaust leak at the muffler. I have also noticed that the car is getting only 8 MPG instead of the ~20MPG I got when I got the car. I take my car over to my friends house to try and see what I need for the exhaust and luckily it is just a gasket and 2 new bolts and nuts.
His neighbor brings his truck over to get his transmission fluid replaced. After his transmission is done I have to back up my car to let the truck out. I go ahead and follow the truck to make sure everything is ok with no leaks.
At the top of the hill a college student swears to go into the alley and locks up all 4 tires on her car. The college cop sees this and does nothing. After my friend pulls out in the truck I pull up to exit the alley since it is 1 lane. The college student again tries to enter the alley only to slam on the brakes again. At this point I rev my engine to give the car enough power to clear the hill and go down the street.
When I let out on the clutch my clutch squeals do to the previous owner not lining the clutch up correctly. I then proceed to go down the hill and make a left turn. Once I make the left turn the college cop comes flying up behind me and pulls me over.
When I inquire as to what I had done wrong he stated that I spun my tires and was fishtailing in the road. I tried to explain to the officer that how the car is since the car was not running even at stock power the car couldn't spin its tires at which point he claimed to have worked on dozens of my car's type. I proceeded to just take the ticket.
Currently I am going to court about it. In the police report he stated that I was yelling out my window, spinning my tires leaving over 25 feet of blackmark, and fishtailing in the road. My car had a seized caliper on the driver side which was why I was getting only 8 MPG, my car has a limited slip differential which means that both my tires spin at the same speed by locking down when wheelspin is detected, the tire that allegedly left the black mark had 70% tread on it when the other tire has 5%, and the car has assisted steering in the rear. Just because of that if my tires were spinning on a hill like that coming out of a turn the car would have done a donut not a fishtail. Also the driver tire is the alleged tire that spun and it was the one with the seized caliper.
I need to know what I can do to prove to the judge that this is impossible for my car to do....
