Record of Speeding Warning

I am a resident of NC and was given a speeding ticket yesterday for going 70 in a 55. This is my first actual ticket and I am trying to decide how to proceed with my case.

Two months ago I was pulled over in Greensboro for going 74 in a 60 and the officer gave me a warning. He did not write me any sort of warning ticket. He simply asked me to step out of my car and spoke to me on the side of the road about the dangers of speeding. I was wondering, does the state of North Carolina keep a record of warnings when no warning ticket is issued, and if so, will it hurt my present case?

I have no plea of extenuating circumstances for my speeding, other than I was following my roommate who was showing me the way back to the highway and was trying to keep up with her (she also got a ticket), but I'm sure that isn't a valid excuse.

I was also considering the possibility of using Prayer for Judgment for this ticket, but I do not know much about it. I do know that the last ticket anyone in my family received was in 1996, and insurance is a huge concern considering my age (18) and low income.

Thanks for any advice!

Go in and talk to the prosecutor and ask for a nine over which is no points and no insurance increase. If he won't go for that, use your PFJ.
