My ex-wife could not qualify to refinanced her house, she claimed that if she did not refinance she would lose it or have to sell it,my daughter lives with her, She asked if she could put me down as her employer since I own my own business, the first time I said no, the second time in a weak moment I said ok, I was trying to be nice. No one called to verify her employment and I did not sign any documents or papers for her or for her mortgage company. Is this fraud? Can I be liable if anything happens. Is it fraud for her to put down false infomation like this.
