Refund on down payment

I went to a dealership to buy a truck. I was rushed into swiping my debit card for a down payment. I didn't finish the paper work and walked out because I felt rushed and was having second thoughts.
Now the dealership says they don't have to give me my down payment back.
My friend told me I have 3 days to make up my mind and that I should get my full refund.

There is no 3 day "making up your mind period". It all depends on what you already signed.
If you can't find anything in documents that you did sign, you can always ask them by what law they feel like they have the right to keep your money.
