I bought a car from my friend (A) which he (A) bought from auto repair shop. The car title didn't transfer to my friend (A) when he sold to me. So now the car is fix by the same repair shop which whom refuse to transfer the title over to me. The car was pay in full as well as the repair cost.

What can i do to get the title transfer over to my name?

Your claim, if any exists, is against "A".

You can take "A" to small claims court and ask the judge to order him to transfer the title to you.

You will need a bill of sale.

The bill of sale should indicate the car was paid for in full.

It should show the TRUE price you paid, and NOT some lower price to help YOU avoid paying taxes on the sale!

If the latter is the case, you will be at a disadvantage in court.

You will come to court with "dirty hands".

The court most likely will throw you both out.

If the former is truw, you'll get what you seek.

But, if he doesn't have the title, he'll have to sue the repair shop.

How much did you pay for this car?
Is that same amount reflected on the bill of sale?
Did "A" owe anything to the garage on the car?

One of the above could queer your case.
