Hi ,

I am a software Professional working for a reputed company in US.

While I was joining the company, I did sign an agreement that If I quit or fired from the Company within one year of the employment then I will have to repay the relocation allowance that I was paid by the Company to me.

Now, I am planning to leave the Company which is exactly falling under the agreement clause explained above. May I know if this agreement is enforceable?

Thanks
Kris

Agree that generally enforceable though you could always run the agreement by an employment or contract attorney for his/her advice/opinion.

The time to discuss whether or not a contract you sign is legal is before you sign it. Do not sign it in the hopes that it is invalid. Either way, only an attorney in your area who specializes in contract law, and who has read th entire agreement, can tell you whether or not it is enforceable. Only your employer can tell you whether or not they intend to hold you to the contract.

Right! It's a little late to be asking now whether it is enforceable.
