Rent due on a Sunday?

My rent was due Sunday the 5th, since the rental office is closed on sundays I turned it in on Monday morning of the 6th. I am being charged a late fee, is this legal?

I suspect it's due BY the 5th - not ON the 5th. If it is due BY the same day every month, then you should have turned in the rent on Friday the 3rd.

Check your contract. I suspect your agreement with the management says that payment is to be made BY a specific date and then specifies the penalties if it is not.

Carl, the winning lottery ticket (says the lottery commission) is for FOUR DOLLARS.

I know, of course, that they are mistaken...it really is for FOUR MILLION DOLLARS.

So don't pack your bags yet till I check this out some more.
