My father and I rent a stabilized apartment for many years (35). I have been on the lease for the past 2 leases (4 years)
Unfortunately he has become ill and my sisters and I are unable to find a copy of the "current" lease. I know I signed it but don't remember when.
We did find a lease that is not filled out that expires 5-31-11....This tells us that there is another lease because we would have received eviction notice by today 6-15-11. Yes?
My father is very aware of his bills/important paperwork and we think he renewed the lease and it is up to date. But he is uncommunicative at this point and can not ask him.
We want to make sure it is up to date and when the renewal is so I can continue to live there and take care of the apartment bills/rent in his recovery.
