My jurisdiction is: los angeles, california

my car was repossessed early on Tuesday, the financial institution was not able to give me a quote until Wednesday when I made the payments required, I called them back & they said they didn't have the record where the car was & gave me the Auction # to call around 02:40 pm, that place closed at 03:00pm & where closed yesterday, I didn't know what to do, so I kept on calling the Financial place to help me but the keep on advising to call the Auction place, I finally got thru today & the rep at the Auction place said they still didn't have the car & I may be able to retrieve it either Monday or Tuesday next week, I called the police department to get any info or help, they gave me the recovery place #, I called them & they said they did deliver the car to the Auction place yesterday; the financial place said they can't help me anymore, I don't know what to do anymore...
what are my rights & how can I retrieve my car today? it's been 2 days since I paid but it the financial place had given me the number from the recovery place since wednesday, I would have my car today, please help

I don't know what to tell you. Your car should not go to auction within 2 days. Someone owns the debt. You will need to speak to whomever that is, my guess the "financial place", to send notice to the "auction place" to stop any auction. As far as the auctioneer is concerned, you are not someone who can make any change except as a bidder. Part of the problem is that you're going to have to pay the auctioneer's costs at this point anyway. Not sure what anyone can do without paperwork or knowing the details of your conversation.
