Currently in divorce proceedings - finances are getting tight - can I have my soon to be ex-wife's vehicle repossesed (the vehicle is in my name). What kind of repercussions might this act generate with respect to the divorce settlement?

If the vehicle is in your name, or both of your names are on title, then yes you can take it. This is assuming she is not making the payments?

Not sure if this will come bite you in the end, but it is not illegal for you to take care that is yours.

Thanks for the reply. Actually, I believe the vehicle is in both our names but I am making the payments.

Then you can probably take it but if the vehicle is in both your names, either of you have rights to it and you cannot sell it or anything without her signing off.
