I have been on a ever other weekend visitation schedule for what will be two years now and would like to try to get 50/50 custody of my two children. To summarize, I at the time was living 64 miles from my ex and new that I financially would not be able to move close enough to my kids to even contemplate trying for 50/50. Since that time my wife and myself have crawled out of the pit of debt we were both trapped in from our past marriages and would like to try to get more time with my kids. With all of that being said if any one could shed some general light on the requirements that must be met (geographically or other) I would be very grateful.
Also, my ex has a new friend that was just introduced to my kids and well I think that she might be really serious about furthering her relationship with him. I personally am happy for her but the fact that he is active military scars the hell out of me, the thought of my kids moving away is more than what I can stand. We have joint custody with her having primary and then your regular out of the box style visitation schedule. So, m questions is would my ex wife be able to move with the custody order we have in place or would it have to go back to the courts.
