a traffic violation is considered to be a crime; a misdemeanor crime that is exempt from indictment by a grand jury and instead is subject to a document known as an "Information". The information is the formal complaint, to be completed by the prosecutor & submitted,with the police officer's sworn affidavit of the crime witnessed, to the court; giving the court jurisdiction to hear the case. Without an Information, the court does not have jurisdition and the judgment ordered is a void judgment. How does one pursue a void judgment for lack of jurisdiction of a municipal court?
