My residential address for several years has been a relative's house in a small town. Last year I started a new job in a bigger city, it was too far for a daily drive so I rented an apartment. Things at the job initially were so uncertain I kept my old address as I didn't know how long the job would last.

My mailing address, bank, bills, and most of my possessions are still for the old residence, and I'm back there on most weekends. Lately things have settled down in the job and I'm spending more time in the bigger city. Do I need to change my residential address to the apartment or can I leave it as is? The wording on the DMV site is vague and just says a residence someone plans to return to. I assume in this situation the apartment is just the place I stay at, but I want to know for sure.

Just be sure to always proclaim your residence as the other place. Not the apartment and you will be ok.
