No. Nothing in either Federal or state law requires them to pay you for time you do not work. IF (and I am not saying they will) your employer lets you go immediately, they are under no legal obligation to pay you for your notice period. While many employers voluntarily do so, it is done as a courtesy to the employee and is not required by law.
This assumes that you do not have a bona fide, enforceable contract that guarantees you such a payout.
