My question involves criminal law for the state of: Michigan

Retail Fraud 3rd degree.

i was arrested for shoplifting today @ Store name in michigan and im moving out of state in two days for college, ive been making these plans for months .
I made the deans list last year here in michigan and have cashed in every loan and favor i could get just to be able to make it to school down in Florida with my grandparents.

this is the second time i have been charged with this the first time i was 17 and it was with a former friend but i went through all the court and advisment and it was "dismissed"

i made all the officers very aware i was leaving the state in 2 days, the lawyer i talked to today said they will probably need more bail money if im leaving the state.

no no one told me anything , no rights were read, no paperwork was given . i was asked to sign one document that looked like a template sort of thing that had my info and retail fraud on it. after that upon releasing me the officer told me nothing but that if i go out of state be sure to notify them as soon as possible.

everything seems a little backwards with this case to me, i got arrested and i wasnt even asked my name . they had my wallet but they never asked if the wallet was mine. they never gave me any instructions or paper work when i was released.

well i have 1 day left in michigan and i know 1 person im for sure seeing is the lawyer.
