My mother is 69 yrs old and has been dating a gentleman for 2 years. He recently broke it off with her and will not return her belonings to her that was left at his home. Can she get her stuff back or is it just a loss?

Have you spoken to the police? File a theft claim with them if he has taken her belongings that were at his house and her property while she lived there. It is questionable whether the police will file a claim (even though she should insist they take a compalint) but you can also file a claim in small claims court. If she has any receipts she should bring them as evidence of cost of what was taken.
