Returned check fees

My daughter bounced a check to a sales person with a home party plan. She actually made the check payable to the sales person, not the company whose product was being sold. Is she liable to the company for a fee?

She's liable to somebody. If the check was endorsed to the company and they had to eat the fee, then she's liable to the company.
