revoking a power of attorney

I got a P.O.A. in 2008 that gave my mother temporary guardianship of my son. I did not go to a court, I just went to legal aid. They typed it up and notorized it for me. I need to know how I can revoke it. Can I just type a letter revopking it and have it notorized? Please respond if you have any knowledge about this. She is trying to take my son and I am a good mother. Please reply. Thank you.

If it wasn't signed off by a judge it's generally not enforceable.
