Roomate Roomate abondonment

I live in an apartment and have a 12 month lease with a apartment complex. I have a roomate on the lease. She has abondoned the apartment due to drug addiction. She has not paid her part in rent or bills. How do I remove her name from the lease so she is no longer has access to the apartment?

"You" don't only the landlord can. If all your worried about is entry to apartment why not ask landlord to change locks or even offer to pay for it yourself

It may not be so simple. If not done right either you or the landlord could be held responsible for an illegal eviction.
The best way for you to handle it, as a tenant, is to leave it up to the landlord. Don't touch the roommate's property if anything was left behind.
How long has the roomie been gone, and is there any property left behind?
