My roommate bought a car a week ago today. He signed all of the paperwork and contracts, and so did the car dealership. This is not a "buy-here, pay-here" kind of place, it is a new car dealership. He got insurance for the car and picked it up the following day, Friday. He had a service problem with the car on Monday, which the dealership repaired with no problems.
They called him today to tell him that he had to have a co-signer for the car into the dealership by tomorrow or they were going to repo the car and sue him for the costs on the car and the mileage. Is that possible? How can they give somebody a car and wait a week to demand a co-signer? They looked at his credit report, they signed the contracts too...
Thanks for any advice!
