Roommate issues: Threatened my children with violence, can I get out?

I have two children, one ten and one fifteen. Both are home schooled. We moved to CA with high hopes in sharing a place with another mom and teenage daughter. I found that she had made threatening comments to us, bullied my youngest daughter and uses religion as an excuse. Her daughter and this woman posted on a blog that they wanted to beat my kids with a baseball bat, but used to names. We are scared after four months and although my landlord knows of the situation, our lease is binding, and without her consent we cannot leave. How can we get out? (Our landlord is cooperating)

Your lease is with the landlord.
If your landlord is cooperating then you shouldn't have any trouble with your lease.
