Roommate on lease I'm not he is trying to force me out.

My roommate and I were on the lease for 9 months together. I am now in the process of moving to Korea so I took myself off the lease and now it is himself and his girlfriend. I have a cancelled check for October's rent and in the memo line I wrote for Oct. Rent and bills. He is now trying to kick me out on the 15th of this month. I am flying out on the 31st of Oct. Thus giving me no place to live for 15 days. I live in Las Vegas, NV in an apartment complex. Does he have the right to just kick me out with no warning or does the cancelled check help me out on this. Please if you have any idea please let me know. Thanks for the help great site.

Your cancelled check indicates you paid for the entire month of October and thus your roommate cannot simply kick you out in the middle of the month.

In addition, unless the roommate is the actual landlord he hasn't the right to "kick you out" at all.
