I was parking in a gravel parking lot at my college and since my car is a front wheel drive and i took the turn to park too hard, i made an indent in the gravel. the police officer pulled up. my trunk was open because i was getting out to go to my class, he slammed the trunk down, made me get out of the vehicle, got within 10 inches of my face and started cussing me out "what the hell were you doing?, what the fuck is your problem?....etc" he didn't even let me speak. after he stopped talking he told me to go sit in my vehicle. when i was walking to go sit back down i turned around and said that i didn't do it on purpose and that i only made one indent in the gravel (because there were a lot of indents from people previously parking in that area.) but he didn't listen to me instead he just told me to "shut my mouth and get back in the vehicle." when he said that i told him "thank you officer, i got your badge number" and i wrote it down. (my police officer friend told me to do that)
I waited for around 20 minutes and he finally came to my window and said that since i told him i only made one indent on the corner, if i told him who else made the rest then he would drop the charges from reckless driving to damaging school property. i told him i don't know who else did it, but i only made one. he gave me the ticket and wrote down on it that i was doing circles and throwing gravel from it's original location when none of that happened and he wasn't even on the parking lot premises until i parked and started getting out. i took a couple of pictures of what really happened and in them u can see that the indents are just in the corner of the parking lot and they are not circles and i wrote an apology letter to the VP of the college i go to describing exactly what happened and that i did it accidentally. he said that he can tell I'm sincere and to not worry about it. i don't know what to do or what to say in court. it's going to be my word against his and we all know how that goes down. he's going to deny everything. please help! the court date is 5/6/11
