Drug Crimes, Substance Abuse Scared and confused

Today I received a summons to appear at an arraignment set for April 18 2013 in Arizona. I told the officers at the time of my arrest that I no longer lived in Kansas where they sent the summons, I gave them my current address where I have been living. It was sent April 15 2013 but filed on April 4 2013. I now have a warrant out for my arrest I have never been in any major trouble I'm scared confused and very distraught. I don't know what I should do about this warrant, I'm a poor college student living at home in Oklahoma. I don't have a lawyer, I don't know where to get representation. Please help.

I don't completely understand the details of what you wrote. It is possible that a public defender may be able to help you. You may wish to contact the Arizona State Bar Association who may also be able to help you. Good luck and most of all, don't be scared. Most courts don't want to punish someone when it appears they tried to do the right thing - as you did voluntarily provide an address and seem to have a good reason why you failed to appear earlier.
