My nephew was pulled over by a police officer near a church/school. The police officer had been following him for a little while before he pulled him over. The officer got out of his cruiser and went up to the driver's side of my nephew's car.The police officer knew my nephew because they went to the same gym there in town. (We are from a small town where everyone knows everyone else and their business.) The officer said to my nephew," Oh, it's you. Out causing trouble.Got anything in the car I need to know about?" They conversed a little bit and then the officer asked my nephew for his license and registration. The officer took the papers and went back into his cruiser. A while later, another cruiser showed up there. Both police officers approached my nephew's car. The one that knew my nephew, opened up the door to my nephew's car and told him to get out. They searched him and found marijuana on his persons. He is now facing a minimum of 2 years because it was a school zone. I don't excuse my nephew's behavior because he broke the law but I feel that the police officer did also. If anyone could give advice it would be greatly appreciated.
