I would like to have my record expunged or sealed. It was an adjudication withheld (felony). I no longer live in Florida. I was wondering, am I able to do this process on my own or do I need an attorney? I am not able to get a job and cannot afford the fees that the attorneys are requesting in Florida. The reason I cannot get a job is because of the background checks they do in order to get employment.
How do I go about getting the necessary documentation from the courts in order to apply for the Certificate of Eligibility? Will I need to go to court throughout this process? Like I said, I no longer live in Florida.
