I was recently pulled over and given a seatbelt ticket. I was getting ready to pay it because i was in the wrong, but then i notice the price of the ticket was more than the officer wrote down on the ticket. I was told by the officer it was a nonmoving violotion and that it would be $79.50. But then realize that she had wrote florida statue 316.613 which after research has something to do with a child restraint ticket. Should i fight this ticket and can i win. There was no child in the car just me. Need advice A.S.A.P. coming up on the deadline

If you want to fight it, the burden of proof will fall on you to show the judge that you had no child with you in the car and that the officer made a mistake when writing the code on the ticket. If you lose, you will not only have to pay the ticket, but also your court costs and you will end up with points on your license and that has a trickle down effect on your insurance...Use the common sense approach and see if this is really what you want.
