I was caught shoplifting 6 months ago.

I have never been in trouble with the law before and until that time had never stolen anything in my life. My family and I had just lost our home and everything we owned to a house fire and I'm not making excuses but it was a vefy horrible time. I paid my fines, did my community service and had been doing great. I was given 6 months unsupervised probation which will be up in 2 weeks. However today I was in the store with my daughters (11 & 15) & was buying groceries and things when my daughter put some face powder (makeup) in the top of the buggy where my purse and jacket was. I was distracted with my phone and my younger daughter wanting her hair cut and didn't think about the makeup as I was checking out. As I was walking out of the store I was stopped and asked to check my things and there it was was! I offered to pay for it and everything but the lady wouldn't hear of it. I was arrested again. My question is what will I face when I go to court?

We don't know what will happen to you.
You could get your probation revoked.
You could be made to serve your original sentence.
This latest event will make many think you're becoming a real criminal.
You might get jail time, if you're convicted.
You might catch lightening in a bottle, again.
You might get acquitted.
No one knows.

You know the drill. Do what you did the last time.

The WORST thing you can do, since you don't really know, is blab and try to blame your daughter.
Even if its true, it only hurts you.
The store security saw enough they decided to have the police come after you, not your kid.
Stop talking, don't explain. No one believes you anyway.
Do what you did last time. Better stay out of all stores. That way, your daughter can't plant evidence on you ever again.

You really need to talk to a lawyer & talk only to the lawyer. They will go over your options with you & answer any questions you might have.

(If you can't afford a lawyer, ask the court if they will appoint you a public defender.)

I am a retail theft consultant and answer questions like yours daily. A second offense can result in jail even the probation violation could. You need a Lawyer. Make no admission or answer any questions without one. I had a client like you who I advised to take and complete the Anti Shoplifting program from NASP www.shopliftingprevention.org He did and took proof to Judge. Judge was so pleased he dismissed his case on the spot no probation!. I cannot say same will happen for you but it cannot hurt
