I have been renting a single family home in the Phoenix area for the last two years, and last week the house was foreclosed and went back to being owned by the bank. My question is whether the old owner is responsible for paying back my security deposit (especially since he didn't pay the martgage since June 2009, yet was collecting my rent every month), or if the bank will now be responsible for paying the deposit when we vacate the house? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
