Security Deposit timing question - before/after

Hi:

Just wanted to clarify the Security Deposit timing question.

Can the security deposit be applied to repairs that were made during the tenancy but before the move out if that is related to damage caused by the tenant during tenancy?

I assume the answer is Yes. FYI, my lease is generic in regards to deposit and just mentions that "deposit shall be returned to Tenant, without interest, and less any set off for damages to the Premises, furniture or fixtures or unpaid balances upon the termination of this Agreement".

I remember reading your earlier thread. The bottom line is that the security deposit can be used for what it says it can be used for! Your lease says "damage to the premises, furniture or fixtures" which would seem to be what you are talking about. Am I missing part of what you are trying to ask? What specifically are we talking about? I am assuming it is not reasonable wear and tear.
