Seeking divorce

My husband and I are both military service members. We are not stationed together as I am in Japan and he is stationed in Georgia. We have a six year old son whom resides with me in Japan. How do we get divorced???

He can initiate a divorce in Georgia, if you're agreeable.

Your problem is that most states won't allow you to divorce unless you're present in that state upon starting your proceedings.

I suggest you speak to your JAG.

There are certain exceptions for active military in some states.
